![]() Furthermore I want to be able to access my photo's (showing vacation pics when friends/family drop by) and maybe in the future video content through a media streamer or DNLA equipped TV. However the HD on my iMac is almost out of free space, and I want to access my music without the need for an iMac/PC to be on. ![]() My music is in flac, and this all works as a charm! I'm currently using my iMac running Squeezecenter, an SB3 voor playback and iPod Touch + iPeng for control. This as I just moved house and want to keep a 'de-cluttered' living room, so no CD's lying around, and like the instant accessebility of a music collection. I'm slowly moving towards streaming/hard disk based audio. I've tried contacting them on their forum but (unsurprisingly) they haven't replied to those details. But can't seem to find anything that matches what they use. I've had a good look on google and (who are very good otherwise). That way I can use a 5.25" DVD drive & 3.5" HDD.ĭoes anyone have any ideas of where to get one? The one thing is, I'm desperate to try and find a case like the one that is used for the Vortexbox appliance: I'm planning on getting a intel atom motherboard as this seems ideal for processing/watts power. I'd love to put one together myself, to save a bit of cash I'd use my existing HDD + DVD Drive. ![]() I think it can even do the same with DVD's. It's basically a whole linux installation but purely for audio ripping/streaming. It's a bit of software that automatically rips CD's (mp3 + flac), tags and downloads coverart. I discovered this great looking piece of software/hardware recently: ![]()
